The Association would like to inform all clubs registered in Ghana that the registration period will commence on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, for the 2023–24 football season.
The registration period opened in accordance with GFA Regulations, which provide that registration should begin prior to the start of each football season.
Activity Expiration
The registration period will open on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 00:01 GMT.
Registration period closes on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 23:59 GMT.
Clubs must respond to all inquiries within three days, including weekends and holidays.
Before the deadline, all clubs are expected to finish their registration.
Clubs should be aware that the deadline SHALL be strictly adhered to and that there will be no extensions.
On June 20, 2023, registration for 2023–2024 will begin. The following instructions must be rigorously followed:
If vetted after June 19, 2023, all queries for the 2022–2023 season on the club dashboard will change to the 2022–2023 season. As a result, clubs will need to reregister players for the 2023–2024 season if they want to do so.
Before the system is made available for the submission of applications for vetting, payment for the processing of registration MUST be provided. To update the Club Account Wallet on the FIFA Connect system, the IT Department must receive proof of payment.
Payments for all registration-processing fees must be made, and registration@ghanafa.org must receive evidence of payment.
Clubs should be aware that all payments for processing registrations must be made at least three (3) days prior to the date the club plans to enter the registration into the system.
Their application SHALL be rejected in the system if it contains incorrect, false, or unreadable papers, and a new application will be subject to a new charge.
The GHANA CARD must be shown as identification when registering for new registrations, transfers, or renewals. Players under the age of 15 may utilize a passport or a digital birth certificate. Use of a passport is required for all overseas players.
The system must update all existing passport photos with the most recent versions. Old photos will be disregarded.
Before registering in the FIFA Connect registration system, all professional transfers of players, both domestically and internationally, must be made via the Transfer Matching System (TMS).
Before registering a player as a new player, clubs must make sure they check the player’s name in the system. Please be aware that the club is responsible for conducting effective due diligence.
To ensure a smooth registration of such a player, the GFA shall release the amateur player to the new club when a club refuses to release the player to the new club.
The player will be declared free and the advantages of the transfer agreement will be voided if a club refuses to counter direct a transfer request in the DTMS while there is a transfer agreement.
This primary window is the ONLY place where the final dispensation for merging of multiple registration is available, and it cannot be prolonged.
All leagues, including the regional league, MUST begin play before the second window opens.
All clubs will be ruled unable to compete in the season if they register less than 15 players within the primary window, and their Registration Accounts will be disabled and consequently deemed inactive.
According to GFA Regulations, clubs, not the GFA, are responsible for the accuracy of information on players’ registration.
The Association wants to remind all clubs once more of the significance of deadlines, the tight compliance regime, and the consequences that follow noncompliance.
