The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has handed fines to three Skyy FC players following incidents during their recent Access Bank Division One League clash against Sekondi Eleven Wise at Gyandu Park.
In a heated encounter that ended in a 1-0 defeat for Skyy FC, goalkeeper Emmanuel Ansah was cited for aggressively confronting match officials after the final whistle. The Disciplinary Committee deemed his conduct inappropriate and in breach of the association’s code of conduct, resulting in a fine of GHS 2,000.
Centre back Samuel Ainoo received the heaviest sanction among the trio, fined GHS 3,000 for what the Committee described as unsporting behavior that went beyond acceptable bounds. Striker Benjamin Arthur was also fined GHS 2,000 for his role in the post-match altercations.
The GFA reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline and professionalism in all tiers of Ghanaian football, warning that future violations would attract stiffer penalties.
Skyy FC, currently competing in Zone Two of the Division One League, will be expected to respond to the charges and ensure improved conduct from its players going forward.
