Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, has issued a strong warning to voters in the Ashanti Region, urging them not to cast their ballots for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.
According to Napo, the NDC has consistently shown a lack of commitment to the region’s development, and voting for them would be a waste ¹.
Napo emphasized that elections are about development, and supporting a party that doesn’t prioritize progress is essentially wasting one’s vote.
He stressed that only the New Patriotic Party (NPP) genuinely cares about the Ashanti Region’s well-being and urged voters to support them ¹ ².
During a rally in Tweapeasi, Napo pointed out that despite receiving significant votes from the Ashanti Region, the NDC has neglected the region’s needs whenever they’ve been in power.
He expressed disappointment and surprise at the NDC’s discriminatory attitude, citing examples of harmful policies introduced by the NDC to punish the region ¹.
Some of these policies include the capitation system for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), which negatively impacted healthcare services in the region.
Napo also referenced former President John Mahama’s comments, suggesting that the region doesn’t value their efforts ¹ ².
Napo concluded by urging voters to reject the NDC and choose the NPP, which he believes has the region’s best interests at heart.
With the December elections approaching, Napo’s warning highlights the importance of careful consideration when casting votes ¹ ².
