Fijai United Soccer Academy in Ghana has received a significant boost for the 2024/25 league season following a generous kit donation from English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.
The support, which includes 46 boxes of jerseys, marks an impressive increase of over 300% from last season’s donation.
AFC Bournemouth’s longstanding commitment to the academy has included not only replica jerseys but also essential football gear, such as training cones and equipment, crucial for the team’s development.
This year’s shipment will bolster Fijai United’s resources significantly, enabling the academy to better equip its players and improve training quality.
Jacob Wemegah, CEO of Fijai United Soccer Academy, expressed his gratitude, thanking AFC Bournemouth and PPEP for making this vital contribution possible.
Wemegah shared plans to unveil the new kits before the end of November 2024 for the ongoing season, along with a commitment to extend the generosity.
“We plan to donate jerseys to several juvenile teams, orphanage homes, and schools,” he noted, reflecting the academy’s dedication to nurturing young talent and giving back to the community.
The partnership between Fijai United and AFC Bournemouth showcases the global unity in football and the power of sports to support youth development.
