Camidoh shot to the global scene with his “Sugarcane” track, and the remix which he featured King Promise, Mayorkun, and Darko.Sugarcane and Sugarcane remix videos were shot and edited by JWillz and Rex respectively.
According to George Britton, Manager for Camidoh, they payed for promotions on both radio and TV in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, the UK, and the US.
They also payed for online ads, social media influencers, and content creators in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, the UK, the US, Tanzania, etc. Nightclubs and bars in Africa as well as the UK played a vital role.
In all, George Britton noted they spent Gh₵975,000 in a year for Camidoh to attain global success and become one of the Africa’s most streamed acts.According to George Britton, they achieved this by a collective effort with the incredible team behind Camidoh i.e., Grind Don’t Stop, GB Recz, and Crux Global.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the media, family, and friends.
He elaborated that, to constantly achieve such feats, the music industry will need much stronger enabler, i.e., the presence of major record labels, hefty financial support from the government, investors in the music industry to help propel the artists to a global stage because the music industry has evolved to become one of most costly but lucrative creative endeavors nowadays.
