Hearts of Oak appoints Ivorian Coach Aboubakar Ouattara Takes Charge as Substantive Head Coach

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club continues to make waves in its pursuit of excellence, as the Board announces the appointment of Ivorian coach Aboubakar Ouattara as the club’s substantive head coach.

This strategic move comes into immediate effect, signaling a new chapter for the Phobians with Coach Ouattara at the helm.

Coach Ouattara has committed to a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club, bringing a wealth of experience and a track record of success across various African countries.

The announcement aligns with Hearts of Oak’s commitment to assembling a dynamic and accomplished coaching team to propel the club to new heights.

The Ivorian coach is set to commence his duties next week, coinciding with the team’s return from a friendly game against Techiman Eleven Wonders over the weekend.

This seamless transition aims to integrate Coach Ouattara into the team’s dynamics swiftly as they prepare for upcoming challenges in domestic and continental competitions.

Coach Ouattara’s impressive resume includes a tenure as Technical Adviser for Moroccan giants WAC from 2017 to 2023, during which the club secured the CAF Champions League title twice.

He also served as the Technical Director at TP Mazembe from 2009 to 2011, contributing to their triumph in the CAF Champions League and clinching domestic league titles with both TP Mazembe and ASV Club of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Ivorian coach holds a CAF License ‘A’ coaching certificate, underscoring his credentials and proficiency in football management.

Hearts of Oak enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation, looking forward to the impact Coach Aboubakar Ouattara will bring to the team and the prospect of a successful partnership as they pursue silverware in the seasons ahead.

As the Phobian faithful eagerly await Coach Ouattara’s debut on the training ground, the club’s strategic appointments reflect a concerted effort to build a formidable team, both in leadership and coaching, as they embark on a journey of sustained success in Ghanaian and African football.
