Mohamed Salah has officially announced that he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/26 season, bringing an emotional close to one of the most iconic chapters in the club’s modern history.

The Egyptian forward, widely regarded as a Liverpool legend, will depart Anfield after nine remarkable years filled with unforgettable moments, record-breaking performances, and major silverware. Since joining from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has established himself as one of the greatest players to ever wear the famous red shirt.

During his time with Liverpool, Salah played a pivotal role in the club’s resurgence under former manager Jürgen Klopp. His goals and consistency helped the Reds secure the UEFA Champions League title in 2019 and end a 30-year wait for the Premier League trophy in 2020. He also contributed to triumphs in the FA Cup, League Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup, cementing his place in Liverpool folklore.

Salah’s individual accolades have been equally impressive. A multiple-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, he consistently ranked among Europe’s elite forwards, dazzling fans with his pace, precision, and eye for goal. His impact extended beyond statistics, becoming a global icon and a symbol of inspiration across Africa and the footballing world.

In a heartfelt message to supporters, Salah expressed gratitude to the club, his teammates, and the fans who have supported him throughout his journey. He described his time at Liverpool as “the best years of my career” and promised to give his all in his final season to ensure a fitting farewell.
