The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced its intention to launch its manifesto in the Central region in August, ahead of the December 7 polls.

The manifesto launch will provide a detailed outline of the party’s policy blueprint, showcasing its vision for Ghana’s future.

During the campaign launch in Tamale, NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama unveiled several key pledges, demonstrating the party’s commitment to addressing pressing national issues.

One of the flagship initiatives is the establishment of a women’s development bank, designed to empower women entrepreneurs and support the growth of their businesses.

Mahama also vowed to abolish the controversial double-track system, ensuring that all Senior High School (SHS) students can attend school simultaneously.

This move aims to address the challenges and inequalities created by the current system.

Furthermore, the NDC leader promised to eradicate schools under trees, an initiative started by the late President Prof Mills.

This commitment to improving educational infrastructure will ensure a safer and more conducive learning environment for students.

Additionally, Mahama announced plans to utilize a portion of school lands to build hostels for tertiary students.

This initiative aims to alleviate the dangers and challenges associated with students commuting to and from school.

These pledges underscore the NDC’s dedication to addressing the needs of Ghanaians, from education to economic empowerment, and its determination to provide a better future for all citizens.
