Incredible Zigi, a Ghanaian choreographer, has made comments against the modern approach to music promotion.

In a recent interview, he asserted that no musician with integrity will simply rely on DJs for promotion.

According to Zigi, they should use alternative strategies to market their songs in order to make them more popular.

He said to Amansan Krakye on Property FM, “Maybe you’re not serious with your promo if you’re an artiste and you rely on DJs alone to make your songs go viral.”

The dancer is of the opinion that social media influencers can work well for artists.

Now that there are social media platforms like TikTok and others, you can exploit them by sending the song to an influencer to turn it into a trend.

These are sites that we can utilize to promote music while the DJs help promote the tune, according to Incredible Zigi, who has over 600K followers on TikTok alone.
