Nsoatreman FC has expressed deep condolences to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the entire Ghanaian football fraternity following the tragic death of a Kotoko supporter near the Professor Amoah Koromansah II Stadium.
The club has strongly condemned the act of violence and assured full cooperation with authorities to bring the perpetrator to justice.
According to initial reports, the fatal incident occurred outside the stadium after an earlier altercation between the deceased and the suspect at a nearby drinking spot.
The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to the fatal stabbing behind the stadium.
In an official statement, Nsoatreman FC reiterated that football should never be a battleground and emphasized the importance of ensuring safety at all league venues.
The club urged all stakeholders to remain calm and support ongoing investigations by the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
As the football community mourns this tragic loss, there are renewed calls for stricter security measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in Ghanaian football.
