AFC Bournemouth have officially announced that Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.
The 24-year-old attacker has been rewarded with the new deal following a string of impressive performances in the Premier League, where he has become a vital part of the Cherries’ attacking setup.
Semenyo joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023 and has since grown into one of the club’s most consistent performers. Known for his blistering pace, strength, and eye for goal, Semenyo’s contributions have helped the club remain competitive in England’s top flight.
“We’re thrilled to have secured Antoine’s future at the club,” said Bournemouth’s chief executive Neill Blake. “He’s a player with incredible potential who has already shown his importance to the team. This long-term commitment reflects our belief in his ability to help us achieve our ambitions.”
Semenyo enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign, netting crucial goals and providing assists that earned him widespread praise. His performances also earned him a regular spot in the Ghana national team, where he continues to develop as a key figure.
The new deal is a major boost for manager Andoni Iraola, who is looking to build a stable and competitive squad around a core of committed talents.
Reacting to the news, Semenyo expressed gratitude to the club and fans:
“I’m very happy to extend my stay here. Bournemouth has become home for me. I’m excited for what’s ahead and ready to keep working hard to help the team.”
With his future secured, Semenyo is expected to play a central role in Bournemouth’s 2025/26 campaign as the club aims to climb higher in the Premier League standings.
