In an extraordinary display of vocal prowess and endurance, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has accomplished a remarkable feat by completing a 105-hour singing marathon, unofficially breaking the Guinness World Record held by India’s Sunil Waghmare.

The captivating journey began on December 24, 2023, and concluded on December 28, 2023, after four days and a few hours of non-stop singing, encompassing over 1000 songs.

Undertaking the challenge for the longest singing marathon by an individual, Afua Asantewaa defied the odds with a mere 20-minute break after every four hours.

The former beauty queen and emerging journalist showcased her versatility by singing a diverse array of Ghanaian songs throughout the marathon, captivating audiences and onlookers alike.

Not content with merely matching the existing record, Afua Asantewaa expressed her determination to extend her singing marathon to the 120-hour mark, setting a new benchmark that would pose a formidable challenge for future contenders.

The Akwaaba Village became the epicenter of this musical feat, attracting a throng of supporters and well-wishers who showered Afua Asantewaa with love and encouragement.

The presence of prominent figures, including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Efya, Fella Makafui, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah, Sammy Awuku, Lil Win, DKB, SDK, Kuame Eugene, Sista Efia, and more, underscored the significance of this accomplishment.

As the singing sensation awaits the official review by Guinness World Records, Ghanaians unite in celebration of Afua Asantewaa’s resilience and determination.

The potential recognition by the prestigious record-keeping organization further elevates her into the spotlight, transforming her into a mini-star who exemplifies the extraordinary achievements possible through unity and collective effort.

The narrative of Afua Asantewaa’s Singathon Triumph resonates not only as a personal victory but as an inspiring testament to what can be achieved when a community rallies behind a shared goal.

Until the official announcement from Guinness World Records, Afua Asantewaa stands as a symbol of perseverance, talent, and the limitless possibilities that unfold when individuals dare to push boundaries in pursuit of greatness.
