The widow of the late Deputy Finance Minister and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ejisu, John Kumah, has come forward to emphatically state that her husband did not succumb to food poisoning.

Addressing the media with a composed demeanor, Apostle Mrs Lillian Kumah sought to dispel the misinformation that had permeated both mainstream media and social platforms regarding the cause of her husband’s untimely demise.

The widow clarified that contrary to the circulating reports, food poisoning was not a factor in the tragedy that befell the respected politician.

The unexpected passing of Hon. John Kumah had triggered a wave of speculation and conjecture, with various narratives emerging in the public domain. Mrs. Kumah, in her statement, expressed the family’s desire to set the record straight and provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death.

While grieving the loss of a dedicated public servant, Mrs. Kumah urged the public and media to exercise discretion and respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time. She emphasized the need for accurate reporting and responsible dissemination of information to avoid unnecessary distress to both the family and the public.

The widow’s statement not only serves to correct the narrative surrounding Hon. John Kumah’s passing but also underscores the importance of responsible journalism and social media use in disseminating information, especially during sensitive moments.

As the family navigates through this period of mourning, the widow’s clarification brings a sense of closure to the speculation surrounding the cause of death, allowing the public to focus on honoring the legacy and contributions of the late Deputy Finance Minister.
