Tiger Eye P.I. Denies Allegations of Bribery in Nyantakyi Saga

The ongoing Nyantakyi bribery saga, Tiger Eye P.I., the investigative outfit led by renowned undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has vehemently denied allegations of soliciting or accepting bribes from the disgraced former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The controversy arose after Nyantakyi claimed to have paid a sum of $100,000 as a bribe to Anas’s alleged lawyer, Kwame Gyan, in an attempt to prevent the publication of the explosive Number12 documentary.

However, Tiger Eye P.I. has categorically refuted any involvement in such criminal activities, asserting that their core mission is to expose and confront corruption.

According to Tiger Eye P.I., they have never engaged the services of a lawyer named Kwame Gyan from the University of Ghana, as claimed by Nyantakyi.

Instead, they have exclusively retained the legal representation of CromwellGray LLP throughout their investigative endeavors. Furthermore, Tiger Eye P.I. challenges Nyantakyi to pursue legal action against the alleged lawyer to substantiate his allegations.

The investigative outfit also highlights the robust internal mechanisms in place to safeguard against any attempts to alter or suppress their investigations.

They assert that Nyantakyi’s admission of attempting to bribe his way out of scrutiny only reinforces his culpability in corruption and fraud, for which he faces ongoing criminal trial at the High Court in Accra.

Tiger Eye P.I. acknowledges the Supreme Court ruling mandating Anas Aremeyaw Anas to testify in court, but expresses concern over the potential risk to his personal safety.

Nevertheless, they reaffirm their commitment to cooperating fully as witnesses for the state, provided adequate measures are taken to protect their identities.

The statement concludes with Tiger Eye P.I. reiterating its independence from political endeavors and emphasizing its dedication to exposing crime and graft in Ghana and beyond.

As the Nyantakyi saga continues to unfold, all eyes remain on the courts for further developments in this high-profile case.
