President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned the Adansi Fomena and Kumawu district hospitals in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on Wednesday, July 17th.
The two district hospitals aim to provide quality healthcare services to the surrounding communities and citizens.
The Fomena District Hospital, which began construction under the previous Mahama administration, was stalled for nearly two years due to funding issues.
However, the current NPP administration led by President Akufo-Addo secured funds to complete the project.
The chief of Dansi expressed his gratitude to the president for his significant contribution to Ghana’s development.
He urged the workers to maintain a good maintenance culture and ensure proper care of the facility.
Additionally, he requested improvements such as a portable access road to enhance healthcare delivery.
President Akufo-Addo also called for a power plant and accessible roads to support the facility’s effective functioning.
In a related development, Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare assured the public of the police’s readiness to ensure a peaceful election this year.
He emphasized the importance of public cooperation in obeying rules and regulations governing the election, promising that the police will maintain peace before, during, and after the elections.
He made these remarks during the commissioning of the Police Shop at the police headquarters.
