The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has officially announced its comprehensive schedule for the forthcoming internal elections, marking a significant milestone in the party’s electoral calendar.

At a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, Nana Mireku Tumi, Chairman of the Congress Committee, unveiled the detailed timeline for the elections, which are set to commence on July 24, 2024, and conclude on August 24, 2024.

According to the schedule, the nomination period for the coveted National Flagbearership position will open on July 24, 2024, and close on August 20, 2024, providing aspiring candidates with a window of opportunity to submit their nominations.

Following the nomination period, the vetting process for flagbearer candidates will take place from August 6, 2024, to August 7, 2024, ensuring that all candidates meet the necessary qualifications and requirements.

The campaign season, a critical phase of the electoral process, is slated to commence on August 9, 2024, and conclude on August 23, 2024, allowing candidates to engage with delegates and articulate their vision for the party.
