The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, has announced a significant reduction in Ghana’s crime rate, attributing this success to recent initiatives and policies implemented by the Police leadership.

Speaking at the commissioning of 320-bedroom apartments for Police Officers at Tesano in Accra, Dr. Dampare highlighted the impact of these efforts on community policing.

According to Dr. Dampare, the Police have successfully deployed officers to the doorstep of communities, fostering a closer relationship between law enforcement and the public.

This shift in policing dynamics has had a profound effect on crime rates, making Ghana one of the most peaceful countries globally.

Dr. Dampare emphasized that the Police leadership’s strategic initiatives have led to a notable decline in criminal activity, demonstrating the effectiveness of their community-focused approach.

By bringing policing closer to the communities, the Police have created a safer and more secure environment for citizens, solidifying Ghana’s position as a peaceful nation.
