The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that its Communications Director, Richard Ahiagbah, is receiving positive treatment after being involved in a serious accident near Konongo.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning, around 1:30 am, on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo, while Ahiagbah was en route to Kumasi for a scheduled programme.
According to preliminary reports, Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it collided with an articulated truck.
Fortunately, he is in a stable condition and responding positively to treatment. The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery.
In a statement dated Sunday, July 28, the NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, expressed the party’s sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes for Ahiagbah.
The party appreciates everyone’s earnest prayers and support during this time.
On Sunday, Frimpong and other NPP executives visited Ahiagbah at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he is receiving treatment.
The party is thankful for the overwhelming love and well wishes from well-meaning Ghanaians and is optimistic about Ahiagbah’s speedy recovery.
