The Member of Parliament for Ahanta West Constituency, Hon. Mavis Kuukua Bissue, has taken a major step towards enhancing sports development in her constituency with a high-level meeting held earlier today at the prestigious Embassy Gardens in Accra.

The strategic meeting, facilitated by renowned football agent Farado Luchi, brought together key local and international football figures, including Samuel Anim Addo, manager of Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan, a club director from Belgium and a top football agent from Sweden.

The meeting focused on Hon. Bissue’s broader vision to harness sports as a tool for youth empowerment and community development in Ahanta West, particularly through the upcoming Ahanta SportyFest 2025 — a flagship initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing young football talents across the municipality.

According to sources familiar with the discussions, Samuel Anim Addo expressed strong support for the MP’s commitment to sports. In a major development, he pledged to build a modern boxing arena in the constituency — a historic first for the entire Western Region.

The Belgian club director also lauded Hon. Bissue’s efforts and vowed to bring more club executives from across Europe to scout talent and explore long-term partnerships to uplift sports infrastructure and opportunities in the area.

Scheduled to take place between July and August 2025, the second edition of Ahanta SportyFest promises to be a game-changer for grassroots sports in the region. The tournament is expected to draw scouts, coaches, and agents from across Ghana and beyond, offering a rare platform for young athletes to be seen on a bigger stage.

Hon. Kuukua Bissue reaffirmed her dedication to youth development through sports, stating, “SportyFest is more than a tournament — it is a movement to unlock potential, transform lives, and make Ahanta West a sports hub in Ghana.”

Preparations are already underway, and excitement is building as the constituency gears up to welcome the world of sports once again.
