Black Stars Players Raise Concerns Over Otto Addo – Sports Minister Designate Kofi Adams

Minister Designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has revealed that some Black Stars players have expressed concerns about their trust in head coach Otto Addo.

Speaking in an interview with Sporty FM, Adams stated that his ministry will engage with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to discuss the future of the Black Stars coach.

“There have been concerns from some players regarding their trust in the coach. We will have discussions with the GFA to determine the way forward,” he said.

Otto Addo, who was reappointed as Black Stars head coach, has faced scrutiny following the team’s recent performances. Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which sparked widespread criticism, with many questioning his tactics and leadership.

Adams assured that the ministry will prioritize the best interests of the national team, ensuring that player concerns are addressed while maintaining stability within the squad.

“We want to build a strong and competitive Black Stars. If there are concerns from key stakeholders, we have to look into them and make the best decision for the team,” he added.

The discussions between the ministry and the GFA will be crucial in determining Otto Addo’s future as Ghana prepares for upcoming international competitions.
