The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official logo for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, marking a significant milestone in the countdown to Africa’s premier football tournament.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Rabat, Morocco, and highlighted the fusion of sport, culture, and art that defines the tournament.

The new logo, a modern and iconic representation of African football, draws inspiration from Moroccan “zellij,” a traditional mosaic art form celebrated for its intricate designs and timeless elegance.

It symbolizes the synergy between African heritage and modernity, presenting football as a canvas where creativity, precision, and passion collide.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe praised the logo for its storytelling and cultural significance. “This logo reflects the pride, resilience, and unity of African football. It’s a celebration of our continent’s legacy, creativity, and the passion that defines our game,” he said.

The vibrant colors of the logo—gold for achievement, green for unity, red for resilience, and blue for boundless potential—embody the energy of the game, the strength of the players, and the unyielding passion of African football fans.

The design merges the geometric precision of football with the artistry of zellij, creating a unique emblem that honors the continent’s cultural legacy while capturing the dynamic movement of the game.

The TotalEnergies AFCON Morocco 2025 will kick off on December 21, 2025, and run until January 18, 2026, promising to be a “living gallery” of African football.

The tournament, which features Africa’s top teams, will bring together players, fans, and nations in a celebration of creativity, culture, and competition.

The final draw for the tournament is set to take place on January 27, 2025, adding further anticipation to what is expected to be a historic event.

The AFCON 2025 will not only showcase the best of African football but also serve as a stage for the continent to share its soul with the world.

As the countdown continues, the unveiling of the logo has set the tone for an extraordinary celebration of African craftsmanship, unity, and the beautiful game.
