Goodnews 96.3 FM, a household name in the Western Region’s media landscape, is proudly celebrating 23 years of impactful broadcasting, community service, and journalistic excellence.
Since its establishment in July 2002, the Takoradi-based radio station has become a trusted source of information, inspiration, and entertainment for thousands of listeners.
With the theme “Celebrating Radio Leadership with Excellence,” the station is reflecting on more than two decades of consistent growth, audience loyalty, and meaningful content delivery across faith-based, socio-political, and development-focused programming.
From its humble beginnings in the heart of Takoradi, Goodnews FM has steadily grown into one of the most influential stations in the region, earning a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and community engagement. Its programming blends gospel music, compelling talk shows, news, and social advocacy, making it a cornerstone of radio listening in the region.
“We are deeply grateful to God, our listeners, and all our partners for walking this journey with us,” said the station’s General Manager Richard Kojo Anim in a message to staff and audience. “This 23rd anniversary is not just a celebration of our past—it is a launchpad toward the future.”
As part of this year’s anniversary, the station is laying the groundwork for a much grander milestone: its 25th anniversary celebration in 2027. Plans are already in motion for a series of major events, upgrades, and community initiatives to mark the silver jubilee in two years.
Listeners and partners have joined in congratulating the station for its unwavering dedication to quality broadcasting and for being a voice of truth, hope, and service to the people of the Western Region and beyond.
As Goodnews FM celebrates this 23-year milestone, its message remains clear: the best is yet to come.
