The Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MISUGHA) has officially inaugurated its Western Regional Branch in Takoradi, marking another significant step in the Union’s mission to mobilise and organise passionate supporters of Ghana’s national teams across the country.
The colourful launch event took place at the Effiakuma Police Park and attracted supporters, sports enthusiasts, and key stakeholders.
Activities for the day began with an energetic float through the principal streets of Takoradi, moving around Goodnews FM and ending at the Effiakuma Police Park, where the main ceremony commenced.
The Member of Parliament for the Kwesimintsim Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Fiifi Buckman, graced the occasion as a special guest. In his address, he congratulated MISUGHA on the successful inauguration of the Western Regional Branch and assured the supporters’ union of government support.
He expressed his joy at witnessing the expansion of MISUGHA into the Western Region, describing it as a positive development for sports, unity, and national pride.
A twelve-member executive body, led by Chairman Phinnehas Perry Brown, was officially sworn into office to steer the affairs of the Union in the region. The new executives pledged their commitment to strengthening supporter activities and promoting unity among fans in the Western Region. The founder Alhaji Issaka Polo (4040),

National President of MISUGHA, Abubakar Dawud, charged the newly inaugurated branch to remain consistent in their support for Ghana’s national teams.
He emphasised that the Union’s role goes beyond major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, urging members to stand firmly behind all national teams at all times, both in moments of success and challenge.
The launch of the Western Regional Branch was met with excitement and optimism, as supporters pledged to work together to promote sportsmanship, patriotism, and unwavering support for Ghana’s national teams.
The inauguration in Takoradi underscores MISUGHA’s growing national presence and its commitment to uniting supporters across the country under a common cause.
