Nations FC have officially announced the departure of Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant Johnson Smith after a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The club confirmed in a statement that both parties have mutually agreed to part ways, bringing an end to their tenure just seven games into the campaign.
Under Coach Mingle, Nations FC recorded 2 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses, scoring 6 goals and conceding 8. The results have left the Abrankese-based side 12th on the league table, far below expectations following their impressive debut top-flight season last year.
“We thank Coach Kassim Mingle and Coach Johnson Smith for their service and commitment to Nations FC and wish them the very best in their future endeavours,” the club statement read.
Mingle, who joined Nations FC in 2023, was instrumental in stabilizing the team during their maiden Premier League season, helping them secure notable results against some of the league’s big names. However, a slow start this term has prompted the club’s management to make an early technical change.
Nations FC are expected to announce a new head coach in the coming days as they aim to revive their campaign and climb up the league standings.
