In the first leg of their CAF Champions League playoff match, Medeama Sc defeated Remo Stars of Nigeria.

At the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the mauve and yellow maintained an early advantage to win 1-0.

The home team secured the crucial victory thanks to a long-range shot from Jonathan Sowah in the 21st minute.

In the second half, Medeama made more incursions but were unable to hit the goal, widening their lead.

In the second half, Medeama made additional attempts to score but were unsuccessful, increasing their advantage.

Coach Yussif Basigi of Hasaacas Ladies stated that Medeama should go to Nigeria with a well-thought-out game plan and security in tow in an interview with Radio 360 Sports on Monday, 21st August 2023.

Despite the fact that Remo Stars is a good club, Medeama was forced to play because some of the players lacked prior experience, and the expectations weren’t met by the team.

For Medeama to advance to the next round of the competition, they must avoid losing in Nigeria.
