Outspoken Ghanaian prophet and politician, Prophet Kumchacha, has made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, requesting a government appointment as a reward for his sacrifices for the ruling party.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday night, the founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries went down on his knees, expressing his disappointment over being overlooked despite his unwavering support for the party.
“I have sacrificed a lot for the party. I have stood by them in difficult times, defended them, and invested my time and energy. Yet, I have not been given any position,” he lamented.
Prophet Kumchacha, known for his strong opinions on national issues, argued that loyalty and dedication should be rewarded, urging the president to consider his contributions.
His emotional plea sparked reactions from both panelists and viewers, with some sympathizing with his concerns while others questioned whether religious leaders should seek political appointments.
It remains to be seen if the presidency will respond to his request. However, Prophet Kumchacha’s public appeal adds to the growing debate on party loyalty and political rewards in Ghana.
