Jordan Ayew express readiness to play Ghana Premier League before retiring

Jordan, 29, has hinted on playing in the Ghanaian domestic league one day before hanging his boot as a professional footballer. The former Lorient attacker who is trading with English Premier league club Crystal Palace disclosed his interest in his native country’s league.

Born in France, Jordan Ayew have yet to play in the Ghana Premier League after making waves with Lorient and Marseille in the French Ligue I before moving to the English Premier League where, he made stint with Swansea City, Aston Villa and now with Crystal Palace.

Speaking in an interview, the Black Stars forward said he is considering the possibility of playing in the local league and expressed a specific interest in representing a team based in Accra.

“The Ghana Premier League is something that I have in mind one day I could play for a team in Accra because I base in Accra,” he told Gtv Sports Plus.

The younger brother of Andre Ayew signed a new contract with the Eagles earlier this year, keeping him with the team until next year.

He had a fantastic campaign last season, helping his side finish above Chelsea FC for the first time ever, 11th position to stay in the league.

Considering, the vast experience of Ayew his involvement in the Ghana Premier League would undoubtedly add excitement and attention to the domestic competition.

He has earned over 90 caps and scored 19 goals for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2013.
