Crystal Palace youngster, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has chosen to play for the Ghana national team despite getting the opportunity to play for England U-21 team.
The 20-year-old is being touted by the English National team, who keeps monitoring the growth of the attacker each moment but stands the chance of losing him to Ghana. The former Chelsea FC youth team player has his parents both from Ghana and with that he is eligible to play for Ghana.
Rak-Sakyi who left Chelsea FC to Crystal Palace in 2019, spent last season on loan to Charlton Athletic FC.
First team head coach of the side, Anthony Hayes shared Rak-Sakyi’s ambitions and disclosed the attacker wants to play in the English Premier League and for Ghana, his parents nationality.
“Jes[urun Rak-Sakyi] has ambitions to play in the Premier League and represent Ghana, to play in World Cup.” Hayes emphasized the young player’s desires.
Rak-Sakyi last season on loan with Charlton Athletic had an impressive spell, scoring 15 goals in 43 appearances and contributing to the club’s 10th-place finish in the English League 1.
