English-born Ghanaian youngster Kobbie Mainoo after two preseason matches with Manchester United FC, has seen many talk about his qualities.
After excelling with high numbers in Manchester United FC 2-0 triumph over Arsenal FC on Sunday mid-night, has seen team captain Bruno Fernandes shower praise on him. The Portuguese attacking midfielder admit the English-born Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has a bright future having shown glimpses of what he can do.
Mainoo operated in a central midfield triangle of Erikson and Bruno Fernandes as against Declan Rice, Odegaard and Kai Havertz yet gave a standout performance. He took the role of the pivot, number six.
He provided an assist after setting up Bruno Fernandes to that beautiful left-foot shoot in the first half.
Speaking with honesty on the young midfielder, Bruno Fernandes shared his thoughts on Mainoo’s performance during a post-match interview with MUTV.
“He’s still pretty young, but we see a bright future for him,” Fernandes said optimistically.
“Hopefully, he will get more minutes, more time on the field, and he will undoubtedly grow into a fantastic player for us.”
