In a show of unwavering support and encouragement, a high-profile delegation led by Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), visited the Black Queens in anticipation of their pivotal Olympic qualifiers game against Zambia.

The delegation included Mustapha Yusuf, the Minister of Youth and Sports, his deputy Evans Bobie, and the Management Committee Chairperson, Gifty Oware Mensah.

The visit, orchestrated to inspire and rally the national women’s football team, emphasized the significance of the upcoming Olympic qualifiers and the collective aspiration to secure a spot in the prestigious tournament.

President Kurt Okraku, a fervent advocate for the growth of Ghanaian football, expressed his confidence in the Black Queens’ capabilities.

“Our visit is not just symbolic; it is a tangible manifestation of the nation’s support for our talented and dedicated female footballers. We believe in their abilities and their potential to make Ghana proud on the international stage,” he remarked.

Minister Mustapha Yusuf echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of such encounters in boosting the morale of the athletes.

“The Black Queens carry the hopes and dreams of the nation, and we are here to assure them of our full backing. Their success is our success, and we are committed to providing the necessary resources for them to excel,” he stated.

Deputy Minister Evans Bobie and Management Committee Chairperson Gifty Oware Mensah engaged with the players, offering words of encouragement and emphasizing the broader impact of their efforts on the nation’s sporting landscape.

The Black Queens, visibly inspired by the high-profile visit, expressed gratitude for the support and pledged to give their all on the field.

Captain of the team, in a brief statement, said, “We appreciate the encouragement from our leaders. It motivates us to strive for excellence and to represent Ghana with pride.”

As the Black Queens gear up for the crucial Olympic qualifiers against Zambia, the visit from these esteemed dignitaries serves not only as a morale booster but also as a testament to the collective commitment towards advancing women’s football in Ghana.

The entire nation watches with anticipation as the team aims to secure a historic qualification for the Olympic Games, fueled by the support and confidence instilled during this significant pre-match visit.
