Effective immediately, the Ngleshie Amanfrom Traditional Council has imposed a ban on the movement of goats and dogs on Amanfrom stool lands, in accordance with traditional laws.
According to the council, the ancient land is sacred and prohibits the rearing of such animals, but despite this, many have disregarded customs, leading to negative consequences for traditional authorities.
To enforce their laws, the council has warned that anyone found rearing goats and dogs must keep them contained and not allow them to roam freely on Amanfrom lands.
Those who defy this law will face the council’s wrath. Additionally, the council has announced a massive clean-up exercise on July 20th ahead of the Homowo festival and is urging all residents on Ngleshie Amanfrom stool land to participate and prioritize cleanliness.
