Election 2024: Reject political parties that attempt to buy your votes – Alan tells Ghanaians

Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Presidential Candidate of the Movement for Change, has issued a strong warning to Ghanaians ahead of the December 7 elections.
He is urging citizens to reject any political party that attempts to buy their votes with money, emphasizing that such tactics are not only disrespectful but also undermine the true purpose of politics.

Speaking to supporters in Obogu, Asante Akim South Constituency, Kyerematen stressed that exchanging money for votes is a harmful practice that devalues the democratic process. “They will come and share things for you to vote for them… think about it twice,” he cautioned. “If after all these years they didn’t come to you and now they are giving you money, it simply shows that they don’t respect you.”

Kyerematen believes that politics should focus on bringing meaningful change to people’s lives, rather than temporary incentives designed to sway votes.

He argued that Ghanaians deserve better than vote-buying tactics and that his movement aims to bring about positive change through genuine leadership.

The presidential candidate encouraged the people of Obogu to carefully evaluate the development in their communities and vote against the ruling party if they’re unhappy with the progress. “We do politics for the development of the country,” he emphasized. “We have to change them if the country has not moved forward after they took power.”

Kyerematen’s message serves as a reminder to prioritize the country’s development over short-term gains.
He is calling on Ghanaians to look beyond the immediate benefits offered by some politicians and focus on the long-term implications of their choices.

As the December 7 elections approach, Kyerematen’s Movement for Change is positioning itself as a force for genuine change. By rejecting vote-buying tactics and emphasizing the importance of meaningful development, Kyerematen hopes to inspire Ghanaians to demand more from their leaders.
