Nigerian afrobeats artiste, Rema, has gotten his “Calm Down rmx” featuring Texas born singer and actress, Selena Gomez, Platinum certified in the United States.
“Calm Down” by Rema was in released in March 2022 and the remix to the original song was released in the last quarter of 2022 and featured American songstress, Selena Gomez.
It has garnered over 260M on YouTube and according to “Charts Data”, the song has sold over 1,000,000 units in the United States, making it eligible for RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America) Platinum Certification.

Gold: 500,000 units
Platinum: 1,000,000 units
Multi-Platinum: 2,000,000 units (increments of 1,000,000 thereafter)
Diamond: 10,000,000 units
