In a significant move towards shaping the future of education in Ghana, the Principal of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has officially launched the admission portal for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Aspiring educators are invited to apply for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs offered in all 46 public Colleges of Education across the country.
The admission portal, accessible at https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh, will remain open until August 31, 2024.
PRINCOF emphasized that the application process is exclusively for the four-year B.Ed degree programs, providing a gateway for individuals passionate about pursuing teacher education.
To initiate the application process, interested applicants can make a payment of Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS300.00) into the Colleges of Education, Ghana Account at any branch of the Consolidated Bank, Ghana (CBG) Limited.
Alternatively, payments can be made through various mobile money wallets, including Tigo Cash, Vodafone Cash, Airtel Money, and MTN Mobile Money, by dialing the short code *9248# from all networks.
Upon successful payment, applicants will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and an Admission Application Serial Number. These credentials are essential for accessing the online application form on the admission portal.
The application process involves visiting the CoE admission portal, selecting the registration type (Normal or Awaiting results), and entering the provided PIN and Serial before filling out the application form.
Applicants are required to supply all necessary details and attach a passport picture in JPG or JPEG format, ensuring it does not exceed 40KB in size.
After completing the application, applicants can preview their information before clicking the ‘Submit’ button.
The confirmation page generated should be printed and kept safely, as the Application Form Number shown on the page will be required to check admission status and print the admission letter.
PRINCOF stresses the importance of sending two printed copies of the confirmation page, along with result slips and any other relevant documents, by post to the applied College of Education. Failure to comply with this step will result in non-processing of the application.
Prospective educators are advised to quote their Application Reference/Form Number on the envelope containing the required documents.
This comprehensive application process reflects the commitment to ensuring a streamlined and accessible pathway for individuals dedicated to becoming the educators of tomorrow.
