Asante Kotoko midfielder end loan deal with Al Batin

Mudasiru Salifu’s loan spell at Al Batin has ended and is set to make a return to his parent club. The central midfielder joined the Saudi Pro League side on a season-long loan from Asante Kotoko SC.

Mudasiru despite an impressive season will return to the Porcupine Warriors after the Saudi club declined the option to trigger a permanent deal with him.

The 26-year old has enjoyed two short loan spells after joining Moldovan side FC Sheriff Tiraspol at the start of 2022-23 season before moving to Al Batin for the second part of the season.

He made 18 appearances in all competitions during his stay with FC Sheriff making 12 in the league and the other six in the UEFA Europa League including game against Manchester United.

With Al Batin he made 15 appearances but wasn’t enough as they got relegated from the topflight after finishing bottom of the league.

Salifu loan spell ended on July 1, 2023 and he will now return to Asante Kotoko for next season.

It’s unclear whether he will make another switch elsewhere or join his parent club.
