Ghana Music Awards has been in existence since 1999 in other to award excellence in the music industry.The awards scheme consist of many categories ranging the flagship prize, “artiste of the year” to Unsung artiste of the year.
Some other categories are; male vocalist, female vocalist, rap performance, hiplife/hip hop artiste, highlife artiste, video, gospel artiste, afrobeats song, etc.
Many artistes have achieved enormous records in particular categories and songstress Efya Nokturnal is not an exception.
Here are three enormous records by Efya Nokturnal which will be very hard to be broken in the “female vocalist of the year” category:
1.Efya is the only female act to win the “female vocalist of the year” for four consecutive years (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014)
2.She has also won the “female vocalist of the year” accolade for five times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2019)
3.She’s the only act to win the vocalist for five times ( both males & females).
