Former Black Queens Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo gets Hearts of Oak appointment as club form new technical team

Former Ghana national team coach, Black Queens Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has been appointed as Oak’s FC Head coach.

As part of the Ghanaian giant’s restructuring their technical team, have announced first batch of technical brains including technical director. The Ghanaian giant’s over 13-years failed to hire the services of tactician to lead as technical director, therefore their constant falls especially at the CAF Inter-Clubs.

In the 2022-23 league season, the Phobians shamefully finished 12th position in a league of 18 clubs, after amassing 46 points and drawing last fixture of the season away to Berekum Chelsea FC.

In the course of surviving the relegation temptation changed technical direction thrice, despite starting season with Samuel Boadu he was fired after four matches. Serbian trainer Slavko Matic took over but also suffered same fate as his predecessor before David Ocloo run them off to the season finish accumulating 16 points.

With the new season approaching, the board of Accra Hearts of Oak SC have confirmed the appointment of Rene Hiddick as Technical Director, Jerry Adjei Asar as Goalkeeper coach, Sebastian Barnes- Head of scouting.

Carlos Klu will be the Welfare officer with former Ghana national team coach, the Black Queens Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo will be the Head Coach of Oaks FC.

Read statement from club,

“The board of Accra Hearts of Oak SC has made changes to the club’s technical team. The reconstitute team will be Dutch technical brain, Rene Hiddick.

“These changes are to ensure good technical direction of the club and most importantly, bring coordination to not only the senior team, Auroras, Royal Oaks and Women’s team (Oak’s FC).

“We are very hopeful that these changes and more to come, will position the club to achieve successes in the 2023-24 campaign and beyond”.

The club meanwhile, is expected to confirm the appointment of new coach since they do not have a substantive manager as at now.
