Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil net brace of assist in Genk’s season opener win

The 25-year-old has begun the new season from where he left off in the 2022-23 Belgian Jupiler Pro League. He recorded a brace of assist in their season opener against RWD Molenbeek.

In the 2022-23 season, the Black Stars wideman had double digits scoring 14 times and assisting 11 times.

He provided two assists in KRC Genk’s 4-0 win away at RWD Molenbeek on Saturday evening to go top of the log after week one.

The former Tema Youth star set up Alieu Fadera to score the opening goal of the match to put the Blue and Whites outfit in the lead on the 30th minute mark of the match.

Bryan Heynen on the 37th minute converted a spot kick to make it 2-0 before Daniel Munoz scored the third just before halftime to give Genk a healthy lead.

Paintsil again assisted Carlos Cuesta in the 70th minute to add the icing on the cake goal to make it 4-0 at full time.
