Ghanaian players, Edmund Addo and Osman Bukari were both in action to help Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade beat Fenerbahçe for the 2023 PARI Premier Cup.
Both players showed character and good performance to ensure it was enough to inspire 2022-23 Serbian champions to another trophy before new season starts. At the St. Petersburg in Russia on Wednesday night, the Black Stars players made impact in their 3-1 triumph over Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.
Winger Osman Bukari commenced the game and once again exhibited his pacey and dribbling skills to torment Fenerbahçe especially in the first half but could not enjoy full throttle of game.
He was replaced in the 62nd minute by Milan Rodic.
Before, compatriot Edmund Addo also got introduced and made an impact, coming on as a substitute in the 77th minute to replace Marko Stamenic. Both helped Red Star Belgrade to clinch another trophy to their trophy cabinet.
Addo who switched camp to Red Star Belgrade just last month has won his first title with the club.
The PARI Premier Cup, previously known as the Match Premier Cup, has been held annually since 2019 as part of the off-season training camps for Russian clubs.
Red Star Belgrade will now face Serie A side Fiorentina in their upcoming friendly match as they prepare for the new season.
