Majority Leader, Mr Alexander Afenyo Markin has said, with the introduction of the new L.I by the trade and industry minister, Mr K.T Hammond is the intention of the government to protect Ghanaians but not to introduce price control system in Ghana.
He explained that, the L.I which has been laid in Parliament was submitted to the subsidiary legislation committee which is chaired by NDC minority member, Dr Dominic Aryini who went through the L.I and effected all the necessary corrections before it was given back to the minister for laying, therefore he believe there is no part of the L.I that breaches the mother law as some minority members are claiming.
