[watch]: I have qualms with Samini and Xtra Large Music; Kaakie is just a karaoke artiste – Linguatkat

Dancehall musician Linguatkat has labelled dancehall act, Kaakie, as a karaoke artiste.

From the year 2012 till 2017, dancehall act, Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey popularly known as Kaakie was a force to reckon with after signing on to Xtra Large Music label led by renowned sound engineer/Executive producer, JMJ Baby (Joshua Raphaelson).

Speaking on Power Entertainment Show with Agyemang Prempeh Agyengo on Power FM, Linguatkat has recounted on how Samini persuaded him to write and compose songs for then Xtra Large Music signee, Kaakie, but they never gave him the due recognition.

He affirmed that, he wrote and composed Kaakie’s hit tracks, ‘Too much”, ‘DC turn up’ and ‘Top gyal’, and for that, Kaakie is just a karaoke artiste because she and her management couldn’t write those songs.

He continued that, anything Kaakie was singing back then was his and she was just singing him(Linguatkat’s works).

The eloquent dancehall act further elaborated, he granted an interview once and revealed all this, and Xtra Large Music weren’t happy with that.

He said; “I go for interviews and talk about my own works and you tell me I shouldn’t have said that and why am I in a rush. Why am I in a rush fir my own works?”

He then expressed his displeasure on how they made him write all those songs for free under the promise that, after Kaakie, they will project him also since it’s more like a family thing. But they never did.
