Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has defended his statement that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s achievements surpass those of all previous presidents, including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
During a visit to the Omanhene of Wasa Amenfi Traditional Area on Wednesday, NAPO reiterated that his comments were not arrogant, but rather a truthful assessment of President Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments.
He emphasized that he is committed to speaking honestly, even if it may be unpopular.
NAPO lamented that politicians who speak the truth are often labeled as disrespectful, while those who deceive are praised.
He emphasized that he is committed to honesty, just as his elders taught him. ‘We politicians face elections every four years, and I believe Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has achieved significantly.
In fact, no government since independence has worked harder than his. But sadly, when we speak the truth, we’re called disrespectful, while lies are applauded.
