The government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing abandoned affordable housing projects nationwide, according to Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
Following an inspection of a housing project in Adenta, Accra, the Minister emphasized that the government is dedicated to maximizing resources invested in these projects, ensuring they are not left unfinished. ‘
We are determined to revive and complete abandoned projects, rather than leaving them to waste,’ Mr. Oppong Nkrumah stated in a media interview.
The government is collaborating with private developers to finalize these projects, resuming work and bringing them to fruition.
Significant strides have been made in reviving the Saglemi Housing project, and we’re also set to make headway in Koforidua, where the state housing company is reigniting work on another stalled project.
The affordable housing initiative launched by former President J.A Kufuor in Akwadum.
Encouraging progress has been made, and work is expected to resume shortly, bringing us closer to completing these vital housing projects.
