Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, confidently declared himself the most impactful vice president in Ghana’s history since independence. During the unveiling ceremony of his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), in Kumasi,
Dr. Bawumia pointed out that even the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has acknowledged his exceptional performance as vice president.
He drew a contrast between his achievements and those of the NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama, highlighting that while Mahama struggled during his tenure as vice president, he (Bawumia) has demonstrated visionary leadership and remarkable accomplishments.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the 2024 election presents a clear choice between progress and regression, underscoring his credentials as a forward-thinking leader who has delivered tangible results.
“The 2024 election presents a clear choice between progress and regression. My opponent, John Mahama, has had his chance as President and unfortunately, he failed to deliver. On the other hand, I, Dr. Bawumia, have demonstrated exceptional leadership as Vice President, with a track record of achievements that are unparalleled in Ghana’s history.
Even our opponents in the NDC acknowledge my hard work and effectiveness.
The question is, do we want to move forward with a proven and visionary leader or revert to the past with a failed president? The choice is clear: let’s choose progress and a brighter future.”
