President Akufo-Addo has made a strong case against John Mahama’s candidacy, stating that his lack of innovative ideas and unsuccessful track record make him unworthy of the presidency.
Akufo-Addo pointed out that Mahama’s defeat in his second term bid is a clear indication of his unsuitability for the role, drawing parallels with former Presidents Rawlings, Kufuor, and himself, who all successfully completed two terms.
The President emphasized that Mahama’s rejection by the electorate in his second term is a testament to his unfitness for the position.
“Throughout the 4th republic, previous presidents like Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor were given the opportunity to serve two terms, and I, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, have also been privileged to serve two terms.
However, John Mahama was denied a second term due to his unsatisfactory performance. Now, he’s seeking a second chance, but we won’t consider him for the presidency, neither now nor in the future.
“Unlike previous presidents who served two terms, John Mahama was rejected for a second term due to his poor performance. Now, he’s seeking a second chance, but we won’t consider him because he has nothing new to offer and a proven track record of failure. We know his past, and we won’t vote for him again.”
