The grand auditions of Miss Western 2023 will be coming off on February 4 & 11, at Tarkwa and Takoradi/Sefwi respectively.
And it’s been divided into two zones, which is, Tarkwa zone and Takoradi/Sefwi zone. Because Takoradi and Sefwi have been pitched in one zone, it will happen on same day but different venues.
“GET IN TOUCH HOTEL” will host the audition for Tarkwa zone at 9:00am and “TAKORADI MALL and DE-BEAT FM at Sefwi Asawinso” will host that of Takoradi and Sefwi zone respectively at 9:00am.
This will be the 5th edition as the initiative was begot in the year 2019 and has been held for 4 successive years.
Dorcas Asomaining from Takoradi(2019), Edith Eghan from shama(2020), Jemiama Essilfie from Tarkwa Esueso(2021) and reigning Miss Western, Melda Arhin Catar from Tarkwa(2022) have emerged past winners with a new queen to be crowned.
Revealing to sstvgh.com, miss Doris Amponsah, chaperon for the event, had this to say on the motive behind the beauty pageant; “Miss Western is an initiative by Ex-One Entertainment led by Isaac Mensah and our motive is to groom young ladies into potential women thus using them as ambassadors to provide free technical and vocational training to the youth with the aim of reducing the rate of unemployment”.
She also touched on the requirements for the auditionees.
1.Age;18 – 28 years2.Must hail from Western Region3.Dress code; White/Black tank top with blue jeans rocked with heels.
