Police training school totally transformed under Dampare – Bawumia

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has commended the transformative initiatives undertaken by Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, stating that they have visibly changed the Police Service for the better. These initiatives have not only made the country safer but also bridged the gap between the Police and the community.

The Police Training School has seen significant changes, including massive curricula updates and practical transformations.
The expansion of class sizes is a notable achievement, with the current class of 430 officers being the largest in Ghana Police Service history.

This comprises 305 males and 125 females, surpassing the previous record set by Cadet Course 52.

Dr. Bawumia attributed these successes to Dr. Dampare’s visionary leadership, which has set the pace for excellence in Africa. As Chairman of the Police Council, Dr. Bawumia has expressed pride in standing alongside Dr. Dampare and his team. He emphasized that the systemic re-orientation and reform of the Ghana Police Service have brought tangible results.
