The world’s largest telecom company, MTN Ghana, has postponed the July 1, 2023, anticipated changes to Mobile Money (MoMo) fees.
The telco had previously stated that transactions up to GH2,000 would incur a 1% fee and transactions over GH2,000 would incur a fixed rate of GH20.
MTN claims that the judgment has since been reversed.
The pending review of MoMo’s cash-out charge has been shelved. The current 1% cash-out fee, which is capped at GHC 10, will continue to apply and be deducted from your wallet. Do not pay any other fees.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused,” MTN Ghana said in a notice to its members.”
