Accra Hearts of Oak SC has received directive from FIFA to compensate former coach from Serbia Slavko Matic with a payment of 50,000 US dollars for a breach of contract.
The Serbian trainer lodged a formal complaint with FIFA, alleging unfair treatment that ultimately led to his departure from the club during the previous season.
The Phobians have been given 31-days ultimatum to pay all monies to Slavko Matic.
Hearts has confirmed having directive from FIFA and begun proceedings to settle all compensation to the trainer.
“Accra Hearts of Oak has received a ruling from FIFA regarding a case brought against it former coach, Slavko Matic.
“The ruling directed that the club pay USD 14,002 as amounts outstanding for remuneration reimbursable and two months breach of contract. All other claims by Slavko Matic were rejected by FIFA.
“We wish to state that, the position of FIFA agrees with the club’s own position and thus the club had already proceeded to pay Mr. Slavko Matic weeks ago the amount (less loan he took which he did not mention to FIFA).
“We have referred the matter to our Lawyers and will update the public on any further developments”, statement from club reads.
