Wendy Shay, the Ghanaian musician, has been involved in a car accident.
According to a witness, the event happened on Accra Street between ACP Estate and Kwabenya on Sunday, September 10, 2023, a few minutes after midnight.
You are aware that the stretch of road between the ACP Junction and Kwabenya is typically clear at night, thus despite the presence of police, cars are frequently traveling at top speed. Coming out of the valley, not far from the KNUST Accra Campus Junction, I noticed a group of people gathering around a car. I made the decision to park and observe what was going on. When I checked, I saw a woman getting out of a car.
She resembled Wendy Shay in having dreadlocks. I then said, “Let me hurry and see,” and as I got closer, I could see that it was Wendy Shay. She had registered the Wrangler she was driving with the name “Shay.” I hurried over to her and asked her what was going on. She couldn’t speak much because of the tremendous head pain she is experiencing as a result of hitting her head on the dashboard, according to UTV’s deputy news editor Prince Obimpeh, who was speaking live on United ShowBiz.
According to the eyewitness who witnessed the event, the artist attempted to avoid the tipper truck that was heading in her direction before colliding with it.
Wendy Shay’s Wrangler would have fallen over if it weren’t for the gutter by the road, into which a portion of her vehicle skidded, according to the eyewitness.
The Jeep Wrangler with the license plate SHAY 21-19 is shown with its front end badly damaged in a video from the accident scene that was posted by UTV.
The eyewitness said that efforts are being made to send the artist to a nearby hospital so that she can receive medical care.
